Who We Are
Youth Advisory Board Mission: To fulfill the Children’s Science Center’s ‘For Kids, By Kids’ philosophy through student leadership and collaboration.
The Children’s Science Center’s Youth Advisory Board is made up of Northern Virginia high school students who work on projects that contribute to the Children's Science Center's goal of inspiring a love of STEM. The board meets once a month and all members serve a two-year term. In addition to assisting with projects for the Children's Science Center’s staff and departments, the members volunteer at community events and in the Lab at Fair Oaks Mall. The goals of the Youth Advisory Board are guided by the organization’s needs.
